The setting is 15th century France. A girl named Cerisier, coming from a poor, rural family, sets out to the capital to seek work. On her way there she unexpectedly acquires an oversized sword, the Zweihander. Guided by the girls she met at the capital, she decides to set her sights on becoming a female knight.
